These songs concentrate on melody instruments, sometimes known as "tuned percussion".  Once again you need to allow playtime and exploration and follow the suggestions for playing particular sounds differentiated by a letter name or sometimes colour.

The children will not be at a level to grasp the idea of playing the right note at the right time in the early stages of engaging with tuned percussion.

The songs have been chosen for their simple structure - many are penatonic - so the gentle sounds of children playing whatever notes they choose will not sound too dissonant against the audio track.

Most children become more and more selective about the sequence of notes they choose to play over time. And some will be able to follow the letter name notation chart.
