There are around 200 current Australian Aboriginal languages.  This translation into Pitjantjatjara holds special significance to the author as it was the first song I learned to sing in language. I acknowledge the many wonderful staff and students in the Aboriginal Teacher Education Program at the Underdale Campus of University of South Australia who taught me so much about their various cultures.
