This is a quieter activity designed to achieve a degree of relaxation through music. We know that lullabies are sung all over the world to ease the child into a restful state, often just before sleep. 

The child is in a relaxed position, trusting and feeling pleasure in the gentle soothing music.  Adults are singing and smiling at the child, making them feel attended to and special.

In a group setting, relaxing on their own coloured scarf provides each child with a safe space in which to enjoy the sense of 'letting go' for a short time.
