How to plan a short music lesson for kindergarten
Sometimes you want to run a short music lesson for kindergarten. Here is a quick run down on how to split up “Candle Burning Bright” into two short lessons.
In the Musical Child program, Sing and Play, a normal lesson has 12 songs with activities. 8 of them are unique and 3 are repeated in each and every lesson and 1 song/activity is repeated for 10-15 weeks. To run a short lesson you would do all of the repeated activities and songs and only 4 of the unique songs. Based on the preschool music lesson plan “Candle Burning Bright“, this is how I would split it.
Lesson A

Social Convention Activity: Pack Away Song
Drama and Movement: Donkey Riding (this is the one that runs for 10-15 weeks)

Social Convention Activity: Goodbye Song
Lesson B
